Cooking: White Castle Sliders

{May 20, 2013} Kimchi: I really liked the White Castle burgers I tried once, even though they were the frozen microwavable ones… I figured if I can’t have any real fresh ones, I’ll have a go at making a wannabe slider myself. Used this recipe.
I sauteed some chopped onions with some already dried, fried onions since we always have them on hand in the house. I feel like they added to the flavor.
Flattened out the patties with a rolling pin and poked holes with a chopstick – much easier than using a toothpick or knife 😀 Before they were stuck in the freezer to be frozen, I scored lines for square patties so it’d be easier to cut later. After they were frozen, I cut them into patties.
Steamed the patties by cooking them over the onion mixture. It’s probably unnecessary, but I flipped the patties over to cook the other side for good measure.
Slap the patties on some Hawaiian sweet rolls cut in half, add some American cheese, and spread on some of that onion mixture for a yummy experience! Kind of laborious, but it was definitely delicious.
