{May 9, 2013} Kimchi: Funny thing is that Martini and I attempted to make cannolis together before we had even tasted a proper cannoli before. Our creation in the kitchen turned out to be a fail because I didn’t realize you shouldn’t use SKIM ricotta cheese and should stick with the full fat one. It tasted bland besides the sugar, and since we didn’t even have an electric mixer back then, it tasted gritty from not blending enough. Well, these cannolis from Euro caffe were great. The shells were crispy (obviously the chocolate shell had more flavor). The cannoli filling was nice and creamy, with a nice touch from the candied orange bits in it.
