Sample of everything

Sample of everything

Kimchi: We arrived after 3pm so perhaps that might have changed how fresh the dishes were. The lunch buffet during the weekday ends at 4pm.

I got a small sampling of everything at their (extremely small) buffet line so I could decide what to pile more onto my plate and what not to get again my second round. The saag (spinach) was delicious. I loved eating it with the naan, which they seem to make extremely well here. It has garlic & herbs on it, and is super crispy. The butter chicken here was one of my favorite dishes. I got every bit of the sauce as possible, with rice or naan. Another favorite was their creamy mushroom curry (Mushroom matar I think). The bhajji (vegetable fritters) was OK. The batter on the outside was kind of hardened rather than a nice crispiness. The tandoori chicken was extremely dry and not that flavorful.

They didn’t have samosas this time and they also didn’t have tikka masala. What gives? Aren’t those good Indian staples?

Dessert

Dessert

Kimchi: For dessert there was this carrot dish (Carrot Halwa) and Rasgulla (sweet cheese balls). Both were good, although I prefer the sweet cheese balls over the carrot dish (the carrot dish wasn’t as good as I remembered). You can definitely taste the calories but boy are they good. 😉

Overall, I love this place because it’s a simple all-you-can-eat Indian restaurant for $9.99, but I wish they offered a few extra dishes or at least made their existing dishes even better in quality. If you enjoy all of their dishes or at least find one or two dishes you really like and eat a lot of that, this place is worth it. There is another AYCE Indian place for the same price that I know of and I think I will prefer that place over this one from now on (we’ll go there soon, hopefully, and review it).
