Deep fried cookie dough

Deep fried cookie dough

Kimchi: I figured the deep fried cookie dough would either be super good or really bad. We were all a little nervous and had high hopes for it…turns out it tasted REALLY good. The cookie dough was warm and paired pretty nicely with the batter on the outside. Melty chocolate chips. Eating one of these is the perfect amount of sweetness.

Martini: I’m not too big on eating these “unhealthy” fair food but I was convinced to try out the cookie dough as a “only-once-a-year” experience and I’m glad I did because these turned out to be great 🙂 The outside had a little bit of crispiness to it but once you bite through the center, you taste the warm, sweet cookie dough. It wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet, just enough to balance the saltiness of the bacon wrapped I ate before the cookie dough. I would definitely get this again – looking forward to the next year’s fair!

Deep fried bacon wrapped pickles

Kimchi: Deep fried bacon wrapped pickles were great as well. The outside was very crispy and the inside was a sour yet satisfying crunch of pickle. Very tasty. Also very salty, so eating one or two of these is more than enough.

Martini: I tried the bacon wrapped pickles first before the deep fried cookie dough anticipating it would be sour and salty. It was salty but overall it was very good – there was enough bacon wrapped around the pickle, huge slices of bacon. It had flavor to compliment the juicy and crunchy pickles. Like Kimchi said, you would probably get tired of these because of the saltiness if you ate all four of them – best shared with someone else or a group!
